pretty (ugly before)

elizabethtown. disappointing to say the least. on a good note, they had 2 ryan adams songs in there. i should have left after come pick me up played. because that song is the bomb dizzle. wow. i definatly just said that.

wallace and gromit was enjoyable, bland, but enjoyable. if you had to pay, i wouldnt, but since it was free, it was ok. yes, i saw both those movies in one night. yes, it is how busy i am 24 7.

i saw thumbsucker on tuesday, and that was good at least. i know everyone else is going to see it and say "how predictable of you to like that indie/emo shit" and i will reply "i like what i like, so lay off my dick." or maybe, "yeah i liked it, sorry you didnt.....................................................dick." have to throw in some genitalia reference somewhere in there. at least once. its hard to type when eating gold fish.

lacey and i thought "elizabethtown" was wonderful, mostly because who could imagine orlando bloom and kirsten dunst wouldn't crap the bed in leading roles. the soundtrack was incredible, and the bit characters (chuck and cindy) were not only symbolic and important, but rather funny. and i can't believe you didn't like the freebird on fire scene? anyway, lemme know what you didn't like about it. i'd give it 3 1/2 out of 4 stars (and i did).

the thing i didnt like was the bad acting. though the freebird scene and the chuck and cindy (twenty four seven) were both pretty funny, i just thought as a whole, every character felt forced. and the guest appearence by my morning jacket was cool. the end when he is driving with his dad got me a little choked, and i liked that, but as a whole, i just thought it was bad. but come pick me up made the movie. did it feel like a second rate garden state to you? because thats what it felt like to me.

to be honest, i definitely "scened out" of garden state because of the hype/reviews. didn't think i'd be into it. my sister owns it, so i'll check it out/get back to you.
